Suzanne Dove, PhD, is Assistant Vice President for Strategy and Innovation in Bentley University’s Strategy and Innovation Division. In this role, she partners with senior leaders across the university on strategy execution and design and validation of new educational offerings and models. As founding executive director of Bentley University’s Badavas Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning, Suzanne has been instrumental in catalyzing institutional transformation toward a culture of purposeful experimentation and organizational learning. Before joining Bentley, she spent 12 years in various academic administration, corporate engagement and instructional roles for the Wisconsin School of Business (University of Wisconsin-Madison). Her administrative accomplishments include essential strategy enablers such as enterprise learning technology initiatives, learning spaces design and creation of faculty teaching and learning excellence programs.

With over 15 years of business education experience in global contexts, Suzanne is passionate about the private sector’s role in tackling consequential societal issues while supporting socioeconomic mobility for individuals and families. A common thread throughout her work is a strong commitment to enhancing diversity, equity and inclusion and cross-cultural competence. She has been an invited speaker at national and international conferences and workshops and recently co-authored a book on well-being, Well in the Lead: An Academic Leader’s Companion.

Suzanne has 20+ years of experience in public sector project management and consulting and brings a deep understanding of organizational change processes. She holds a PhD in Political and Administrative Science from the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, a Master of Public Administration from New York University and a Bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University. Dr. Tawnya Means is the Assistant Dean for Educational Innovation and Chief Learning Officer in the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Prior to this role, Tawnya served as the Assistant Dean and Director of the Teaching and Learning Center for the College of Business at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the Director of the Teaching and Learning Center at the Warrington College of Business at the University of Florida, leading teaching and learning support and providing faculty development programs and resources for instructional innovation and adoption of pedagogical best practices. 

With 20 years of experience in higher education, course design, and educational consulting, Tawnya has also taught courses in entrepreneurship, strategy, technology, and leadership in remote teams. Dr. Means received her B.S. in Education, M.S. in Educational Technology, and Ph.D. in Information Science and Learning Technologies with an emphasis on learning systems design, all from the University of Missouri. She completed the AACSB Post-doctoral bridge program in Management and Entrepreneurship at the University of Florida. Her research interests are in online and blended learning, active learning, learning space design, technology for teaching, access to digital learning resources, and faculty preparation to teach. She has long been a leader in campus initiatives and committees and actively presents at conferences and other institutions and organizations on technology-enhanced learning.
